1
The invention relates to an electronic pressure device in the manner of a hand stamp, with a housing in which a fixed electronic pressure cartridge cartridge is releasably inserted or used in the operating position, wherein in the operating position used in the housing of the cartridge on one side of the cartridge arranged electrical Contacting the power supply and control of the cartridge under pressure to associated electrical contacts in the housing, and this is arranged in the housing on the side opposite the side of the cartridge with the electrical contacts a spring means for holding the cartridge against the housing contacts.
The use of an electronic printing unit or a print cartridge or a printhead, also frequently " Cartridge " called, in a handstamp is in recent times an increasingly important concern of the hand stamp producers. On the one hand, there are approaches to movably mount the respective print head or cartridge in a housing and thus to produce a large image in comparison to the print head as an impression on a base, in particular a paper sheet. In this case, the print head can be in particular an inkjet print head, but if appropriate also a dot-matrix print head or a thermal printer head. Such a stamp-type printer is disclosed, for example, in EP 598 251 A1. On the other hand, there are also proposals to attach the printhead or the printing unit cartridge firmly in a housing and to move the printing device during the impression dog, see. For example, DE 10 2005 014 227 B4, in which an electronic pressure device of this type is described. In this case, electronically stored print data are fed to the print head in the housing in a memory. Accordingly, an electrical connection of the print cartridge, in particular the inkjet printhead, with the memory in the device housing, in particular via a suitable control, in addition to the general power supply is required.
From US 2007/0120937 Al a similar printing device is known, which is moved to produce impressions on a base on the latter dog. As a printer, for example, a thermal printer is mentioned here. This thermal printer or generally the printing unit cartridge is held in position here by means of an attached below 2 of the actual pivotable housing cover additional pivot cover. This additional pivot cover has on its underside a plate-shaped extension which protrudes in the closed state of the additional pivot cover between a fixedly arranged in the housing spring means and the printhead cartridge and so evened the pressure of the spring on the cartridge and reinforced. This structure derives from that commercially referred to as "Design Runner". available printing device according to the aforementioned US 2007/0120937 Al. The disadvantage is that even with open additional pivot cover the spring presses against the printing unit cartridge and therefore when inserting the cartridge as well as their removal on the opposite side of the housing-fixed contacts and the cartridge contacts contact each other.
It is an object of the invention, on the one hand the printing unit cartridge, hereafter briefly called cartridge to press in the operating position against the housing-fixed electrical contacts that a secure electrical connection and power supply is achieved, and that on the other hand when inserting or removing the cartridge is a sliding of the respective contacts and thus wear of the same avoided.
To solve this problem, the invention provides an electronic printing device as defined in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are specified in the dependent claims.
In the present electronic pressure device are thus in the operating position of the cartridge used in the housing on one side of the cartridge arranged electrical contacts for power supply and for driving the cartridge to associated electronic contacts in the housing under pressure; To achieve this system under pressure, a spring means for holding the cartridge against the housing contacts is arranged in the housing on the side opposite the side of the cartridge with the electronic contacts. This spring device according to the invention is arranged on a housing which is adjustably arranged in the housing.
m 3 drive part arranged. In this embodiment, the individual contacts, which are simply formed by conductor surfaces, for example, copper-plated areas on printed circuit boards, with corresponding contact surfaces of the cartridge at contact surfaces of a board, which is fixedly disposed in the housing, abut, when inserting and removing the cartridge or cartridge be spared. For this it is responsible that the drive part, on which the spring or spring device is arranged, is adjusted for insertion or removal of the cartridge in the direction away from the housing-fixed contacts, so that there is enough space to insert the cartridge or to remove. In the inserted state of the cartridge, the drive member is then adjusted towards the cartridge, at least partially, so as to exert on the arranged on it spring means a corresponding pressure on the cartridge in the direction of electrical contacts. When the cartridge is removed, the drive part is moved backwards or forwards from the cartridge during or after opening the housing, so that the spring device also moves away from the cartridge and the cartridge is thus "pressure-free". is present in the housing and accordingly can be removed without abrasive action between the contacts of the housing. For the adjustment of the drive part, a particularly advantageous embodiment is characterized in that a movable wedge is provided, which is set up or arranged for adjusting the drive part. This wedge is moved from a raised rest position to an operating position in which it presses the drive member toward the housing-fixed contacts. This can be achieved in a structurally particularly simple manner when the wedge is attached to a housing cover associated with the housing and cooperates when closing the housing cover with the drive part for its adjustment. The housing cover, which carries the wedge, it can be hinged easily and captively on the housing pivotally. Theoretically, it is also conceivable that the housing cover is removable from the housing and can be placed together with the wedge on the housing and fixed there, for example by snapping.
To adjust the drive part, it is further favorable if
4 4 E014.1 | PrÄd ^ ip # l2 the wedge with a top surface, e.g. Sloping surface, the drive part cooperates. For a favorable force application to the cartridge, it is particularly advantageous if the drive part is a rocker which is pivotally mounted in the housing. In this embodiment, the rocker is thus pivoted by the wedge or generally by an actuator in the housing or on the housing cover in the operating position, so by the pivotal movement of the drive member, so the rocker, the spring means and thus the cartridge in the direction of the housing-fixed Press contacts. For an optimal force application, it is advantageous if the rocker is pivotally mounted in the housing approximately in the middle of its vertical extent.
In order to allow a soft pressing of the cartridge, it has also proved to be advantageous if the spring device is a directly pressing against the cartridge spring. The spring may preferably be a e.g. be angled leaf spring, which is fixed in particular on the rocker, for example in the upper region, with a flat part and protrudes with a lower part of the rocker in the direction of the cartridge and pushes the cartridge in the direction of contacts with this protruding part. The location of the concern of the spring on the cartridge can advantageously lie in the height of the contacts.
In order to ensure an exact alignment of the respective contacts on the cartridge or in the housing in the operating position, it is also advantageous if a centering projection is arranged on the cartridge on the side having the electrical contacts, which in the operating state of the cartridge in a Housing provided guide recess engages.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to particularly preferred embodiments, to which, however, it should not be restricted. In the drawing:
Figure 1 is a schematic, perspective view of an electronic printing device with a cartridge within the housing, wherein also a centering projection of the cartridge is illustrated 5, which engages in a corresponding guide recess in the housing for the purpose of positioning the cartridge.
Figure 2 is a schematic longitudinal section through such an electronic printing device in the manner of a hand stamp, with inserted printing unit cartridge and with the device cover open.
3 shows a corresponding longitudinal section through this pressure device with the housing cover closed; and
Fig. 4 in an enlarged scale representation of the detail IV in Fig. 3, to illustrate the centering projection in conjunction with the associated guide recess.
In Fig. 1 to 3 is a diagrammatic, schematic representation of an electronic printing device 1 shown in the manner of a hand stamp having a housing 2, in the interior of which a printing cartridge cartridge 3 is inserted. The housing 2 is open at its top, but can be closed by means of a housing cover 4 for the commissioning of the printing device 1. The housing cover 4 could in this case simply be placed or snapped onto the housing 2, but it is formed in the illustrated embodiment as a hinged lid 4, which on one of the two narrow sides, the narrow side 5 shown in Fig. 1 on the left, in Fig. 2 and 3 is illustrated on the right, by means of a hinge, with a pivot axis 6, articulated. The folding housing cover 4 is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in an open position, whereas it closes the housing 2 in the position shown in FIG. 3 on the upper side. When closing the housing cover 4, a hook 1 engages on the housing cover 4 behind a holder not shown in detail inside the housing 2 a.
Inside the housing 2 is further a rechargeable electric accumulator 8, which can be similar to the cartridge 3 removed from the interior of the housing 2, such as for exchange or maintenance purposes.
The printing unit cartridge 3, also referred to below as cartridge or cartridge 3, may, for example, be an ink jet printer.
6! E0l4f1 have printer unit (not shown), and it is electronically controlled in this way not to be described in detail or supplied with information regarding the respective print image or cliché to be printed. Of interest here is only that, on the one hand at an end face of the cartridge 3, namely at the right in Fig. 2 and 3 end face 9, electrical contacts 10 in the form of contact surfaces, e.g. Copper surfaces, are provided to electrically connect with corresponding electrical contacts 11 " are, which are arranged in the housing 2, for example on a printed circuit board 12. In the closed position of the printing apparatus 1 according to FIG. 3, the contacts 10, 11 are brought into contact with each other under pressure in order to make good contact, whereas in the open position according to FIG. 2 (and FIG. 1) the pressure is exerted on the Cartridge 3 is eliminated and so the cartridge 3 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 slightly to the left, away from the fixed in the housing 2 arranged contacts 11, is moved.
Before the means for this elastic pressure exercise are explained here, it should be pointed out for the sake of completeness that the housing 2 has an opening at the bottom, which is not designated in detail in the drawing, and through which the actual pressure part 13 of the cartridge 3 protrudes when in the operating position or printing position provided on the underside of the housing 2 slider 14 from the closing position shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 in an open position as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 to the left, as shown in FIG. 1 to the right, is moved. The formation of the printing unit cartridge 3 together with the actual printing part 13, for example in the form of an inkjet printer, can be of a conventional type and is not explained here.
In the housing 2 adjacent to the accumulator or the battery 8 on the cartridge 3 side facing a drive member 15 in the housing 2 is adjustably arranged, s. Concretely, this drive member 15 is formed as a rocker 16, which is mounted pivotably about an axis 17 in the interior of the housing 2 approximately in its center.
On the inside or bottom of the housing cover 4 is further
I
[10 2Öf 2/504 $ 8 7, for example, a pressure plate 18 arranged / at the inner or. Bottom leaf springs 19 are mounted, which press in the closed position shown in FIG. 3 against the upper side of the cartridge 3 and thus fix the cartridge 3 vertically within the housing 2. Furthermore, the pressure plate 18 carries at its bottom or inside a wedge 20, which upon closing of the printing device 1, i. the device cover 4, with an upper side, optionally beveled (Figure 2) surface 21 of the drive member 15 cooperates to pivot the rocker 16 as shown in Figures 2 and 3 in the counterclockwise direction about the axis 17. During this pivoting, a leaf spring 22 fixed to the rocker 16, with its upper end projecting from the rocker 16, freely projects downward, angled region into a fixed resilient abutment on the side of the cartridge 3, which lies opposite the contacts 10, 11 , This situation is illustrated in Fig. 3, wherein by this resilient engagement of the leaf spring 22 on the rocker 16 or generally on the drive member 15 mounted leaf spring 22 on the cartridge 3, a good contact between the contact surfaces 10, 11 is effected. However, if the swivel housing cover 4 is opened, the cartridge 3 slightly displaced to the left according to the illustration in FIG. 2 pushes the drive part 15 away, as shown in FIG. it pivots the rocker 16 in the clockwise direction in the inclined position shown in Fig. 2, wherein the pressure contact between the contacts 10 and 11 is terminated. In this open position shown in Fig. 2 and also in Fig. 1, the cartridge 3 can be easily removed without scratching the contact surfaces of the contacts 10 and 11, from the interior of the housing 2 upwards.
When closing pivoted as mentioned, the wedge 20, the rocker 16 counterclockwise, so as to press the leaf spring 22 firmly against the cartridge 3. In this case, the cartridge 3 as shown in Fig. 2 and 3 to the right, according to that in Fig. 1 to the left, moved. In this displacement movement enters a centering projection 23 in a guide recess 24 of the housing, see Fig. 2 and 1 except in particular Fig. 4. Thus, the cartridge 3 is positioned horizontally in the closed position exactly inside the housing 2, so no misalignment between the Contacts 10, 11 is possible. 8th
If the invention has been explained in detail above with reference to particularly advantageous embodiments, but modifications and modifications are possible within the scope of the invention.
Thus, it is conceivable, for example, instead of forming the drive part 15 as a pivotable rocker 16 as a component that can be moved horizontally in guides. Also, in the case of a rocker 16, the upper part instead of as shown in FIGS., 2 and 3 cranked and simply be formed obliquely. The printing unit 3/13 can also be configured as a dot-matrix printer, etc. instead of as an inkjet printer. Finally, the slider 14 can be omitted easily, so that the printing unit 13 of the cartridge 3 is always ready for use at the bottom of the housing 2. However, to protect the printing unit 13, such a closure slide 14, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is recommended.
